The Church in Guachupita

God bless you rich and abundantly.
I want to briefly let you know how things are going in Guachupita`s church and with the brothers there,
and also a little summary of what God has been speaking and teaching both, me and my wife with respect to the ministry there.

While we were in Haiti, God was speaking specifically to my life regarding the continuity of the work in that ministry.
So as soon as Patria and I got here, we started working teaching them and physically helping them.
Recently we returned from Haiti and despite two or three problems, we have met several times to continue our study of the book of Acts.
The purpose for which we are studying this book is to have an example of how the early church was,
and how we should handle ourselves.

Each meeting is marked by some conversations in order to break the ice;
plus, see how each one of them are going in their relaRonnietionship with God. Then we pray and start with our study.
So far we haven´t built what we normally call “praise” or “worship”
but we have been allowing naturalness about the way we handle.
In a few weeks, we will integrate some practical ways to worship the Lord congregationally.
we make sure to give everyone space to tell how God is working in their lives,
We thank God for it and present to God any other requests they may have. Thank God, every Monday,
we have Not only our brothers who usually attend, but someone else decides to join us. God is working marvelously for that aspect.

As for us, God has been speaking clearly to our lives.
Guachupita was the first mission field in which I worked, and to have the opportunity to minister there again is a blessing.
those who once I preached the gospel, today are the leaders of that community.
Today I have the opportunity to continue teaching them and showing them how to win others for Christ. Yet God is also working in my heart in a very deep way. While we were in Haiti,
God spoke to me several times about what it means to be a pastor. I will not deny that the title itself terrifies me, but God did not mean the title but the function.
That means ensuring the spiritual welfare of a group of souls.
That part is what I am still learning and why I believe God is sending us to Guachupita to work with the brothers there.

I want you to be praying for the brothers: Dulce, Flor,Francisco, Grecia and Adriana; also for Francisco’s  children (5 in total) and Alexander (son of Clement).
Pray that God is teaching them how to love one another and to love God. Pray that God will guide us now that we are spiritually responsible for this work.

Thank you very much for having us in your prayers.
