How did you come to know Jesus?
Well … I
grew up in a Christian home where I was taught from a young age who Jesus
was. But I grew up thinking that because
I was raised in Christianity I would be saved. It was then that I realized that salvation was a personal choice and I
had to make the decision for myself. In
a youth meeting I made the decision, although in my heart I had pursued Him for
long time. But it was the first time I made a public
confession of faith.
In what ways have you seen
the glory of God?
In
every possible way. In every situation He
is there help me, to move me, and has never failed me.
The
truth is that I entered the ministry of missions because some of my close
friends were involved, but although my intentions were not direct, I quickly realized
that God wanted me there. Then came the
day that God truly spoke to my life.
Every
Saturday I used to travel to Santo Domingo for a ministry school called “CANZION”. One of those Saturdays we were celebrating world missions. There was a preaching by the director of an
institution called YWAM and all that God had put in her to preach spoke
directly to my life.
And they sang a powerful
song , whose lyrics have been in my heart ever since. The song said: “Here I am Lord, send me.” I told God that day, “I’m ready to take your
glory to the nations.”
What part of ministry is
that you like most?
I
recently realized how much I liked intersection, knowing that when you cry to
God He responds to you and you can see it with your eyes. That’s the greatest thing I can imagine. Knowing that a God so great can answer someone
as insignificant and small as I am.
What God is doing
in your life now?
He
is training me more and preparing me for the nations through all that I am
going through, either good or bad. Also
by means of worship to bring more life to it and express what He has done and
is doing in me.
What is the dream
God has put in your heart?
I
haven’t shared this with anyone, but my dream would be to live and work with an
unreached tribe either in Peru or Africa. But mostly, wherever I go, to meet people who do not know God and share
the gospel with them. I could also see myself supporting a church
that has already started with some of these tribes.
